In 2014, Nydia Tisdale was peacefully filming a political rally when she was assaulted and dragged out by an off-duty law enforcement officer. A jury cleared her of charges of felony obstruction and misdemeanor criminal trespass, but convicted her of one misdemeanor obstruction charge – which she is appealing. Appellate counsel Andrew Fleischman will be arguing that appeal on October 8th.
