Saturday February 20th at 11am at First Christian Church of Decatur(601 West Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030) we invite the community to join Covid19 survivors, community leaders, and members of the clergy as we begin to plant 15,000 white flag, each one representing a Georgian we have lost to Covid19.

The display will remain up until Sunday February 28th. Each day at 12pm and again at 5pm names of those we lost will be read. We invite all who need a space of public mourning to come pay tribute to the thousands we lost to this pandemic.

We hope that this installation will help those that see it understand the human and economic cost of this terrible pandemic as our local and federal elected officials debate relief packages and vaccine roll out plans. Right now our communities are in need of relieve as Georgians face unemployment and underemployment as a result of the pandemic. Right now, 1 in 4 Georgians are at risk for eviction.

All areas are socially distanced, and participants are asked to wear masks.
