Justice for Alma Bowman Community Forum

Alma Bowman Sorrells is a 54 year old Filipina who was detained by ICE for 3 years. During that time, she was transferred across different facilities, including Irwin County Detention Center, and experienced inhumane treatment by ICE officials and became witness to inhumane medical practices. Upon her release, Alma is still at risk for deportation despite the fact that prior incarceration, she had permanent residency status. Today she suffers a number of negative health effects brought about by her ordeal.
