ATC Skillshare: Go Bags!

August 22, 2019 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm America/New York Timezone
Neighborhood Church

UPDATE: Unfortunately, our original trainer is no longer available to lead this skillshare. Two of our co-organizers will be leading a similar session on the topic of go bags instead. Read below for their bios. $5 donation for the training will be waived – Event is free!

SAVANAH: Savanah (she/her) has prepared and tested several go bags in desert and forest climates. She increased her gear knowledge and training by working at REI for three years. She is not a field expert, but she can help beginners plan their packs and identify needs.

SAM: Sam (they/them) is an RN and street medic interested in healthcare autonomy for all. Sam will demonstrate and talk participants through the contents of their medic bag.

Come at 6:30 for socializing and community announcements. Skillshare starts at 7. We will hold a short organizing meeting after the skill share. Can’t wait to see you there!

The Apocalypse Training Collective is a newly formed group working to organize survival skillshare events centering queer and trans folks in the Atlanta area. We will be holding monthly skill shares with community discussions that help us connect and prepare to take care of each other.

– This training will be held on the first floor of the Neighborhood Church. There is a ramp leading directly to the main floor and accessible bathrooms located on the same level. There are two reserved accessible parking spaces located around the corner from the entrance.
– All bathrooms on the first floor will be All Genders for the duration of the training.
