American Energy Independence – Days of Action

Coming together for self healing, fun and to declare our Energy Independence Day!

The dirty energy economy — the extraction and burning of fossil fuels — continues to sacrifice those most vulnerable. Profit-obsessed corporations and the politicians who do their bidding use, abuse and discard our communities. In the Southeast, Southern Company has #usedandabused our communities and #discardedwaste in our backyards with no accountability.

Now it’s time to take it to their front door. On Sunday, July 18th and Monday, July 19th we will come together to demand American Energy Independence. Join us as we bring healing and liberation to Black, Indigenous and people of color. There will be a community clean up, cook out, and yoga – and there will also be some disruption!

We have buses leaving from #Birmingham and #Mississippi for those who want to participate. Tickets only cost $25! The event is FREE for Georgia residents.
