RJ Intentions for Black Lives: A Sacred Event

June 21, 2020 @ 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm America/New York Timezone

We understand that we wrestle not ONLY against flesh and blood. And to that end we seek to tap into the wisdom of our faith traditions to root ourselves in the help of our Ancestors and the Great Divine.

In this brief, monthly recurring, trans-denominational, interfaith event we will purposefully engage the energy of the new moon to set impactful intentions for our liberation and in defense of Black lives.

We hope to inspire you to use the traditions of your own faith be it prayer, chanting, ritual or dance in defense of Black lives, and to incorporate these collective intentions into whatever you use as a daily practice to connect with and embody the divine.

The approaching new moon on 6/21 is the New moon in Cancer. This energy is rooted in the compassion, care, dogged persistence, and protection that typifies mothers and motherhood. It is our desire to set intentions for the preservation and protection of Black and Brown motherhood in all its forms and their children. Because it is also Father’s Day, we will uplift parenthood as a whole in our intentions as well. We so hope you can join us. Looking forward to sharing this sacred space with you.
