Plant a Seed with the Apocalypse Training Collective (ATC)! Come by on Sunday afternoon the weekend of Imbolc for:
**SEED SHARE* Bring seeds to share if you have them, but you don’t have to bring seeds to participate. We’ll be sharing seeds, along with growing information and cultural notes related to the seeds. Special thanks to Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, a worker-owned cooperative in Virginia, for helping support this seed share.
*RESOURCE CORNER* Early February is a great time to make some plans for your garden. We’ll have books, resources, and people available to help you grow food and medicine in a variety of settings (backyard gardens, community gardens, container gardens, windowsill gardens, public spaces, etc.)
*MEET ATC ORGANIZERS* Learn about ATC, our work, and ways to get involved as a volunteer, session leader, co-organizer, and more. Share your ideas for queer and trans skill-building in 2020.
*LOGISTICS AND ACCESSIBILITY* This event centers queer and trans people and is free for all queer folx. Suggested donation for allies. Antagonists not welcome. This event is open house style, so drop in at any time between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Resources will be available the entire time. Seeds are available until they’re gone.
Neighborhood Church provided this space for us as an act of solidarity with queer and trans people. ATC is not religiously affiliated in any way.
The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. The event will take place in the Community Room on the ground floor. Accessible parking spaces are available in front of the church off McLendon — take the ramp or stairs directly to the orange door on the ground floor. All bathrooms will be made All Genders for this event.
General parking is available in the lot behind the church, off of Mell Avenue. From the parking lot, walk to the left or right side of the building and continue until you reach the orange door. Do not go up the stairs.
THERE WILL BE SNACKS! (light refreshments, coffee, tea)
