In collaboration with Georgia State University’s Department of African-American Studies and the National Council of Black Studies, the Auburn Avenue Research Library (AARL) will present “What are the Macro and Microeconomic effects of COVID-19 on the African American Community?”

As African Americans bear the brunt of Covid-19’s economic impact in the United States, this community panel discussion will explore the economic effects of the pandemic on the black community and strategies for building alternative future economies. Dr. Andrea Anderson, Skillman Foundation, will host this discussion and feature panelists: Dr. Kerwin Charles, Dean, Yale School of Management; Dr. Karen Matthews, Corning, Inc.; Calvin Holmes, President Chicago Community Loan Fund; and Eldred Harris, Founder eLab.
