Southerners on New Ground Atlanta Chapter presents a two part Political Education series to learn about and BREAK DOWN the Abolition of the Prison Industrial Complex.

Dinner and childcare provided.
Message Daniel A Pizarro with any food restrictions.

Part 1: Monday, January 20 from 7-9 PM
Part 2: Monday, January 27 from 7-9 PM

As an abolitionist organization, it seemed fitting to begin our political discussion with abolition of the Prison Industrial Complex (PIC). We will define abolition and the PIC, discuss the history of abolition, engage with black feminist carceral theory, dissect abolition v. reform demands, etc. We welcome you to bring ANY thoughts, questions, solutions, and knowledge you may have to add to the discussion.
