In 2014, Southern Fried Queer Pride began as a series of house meetings and parties, eventually leading to the first festival in 2015. Since then, SFQP has grown OTP, extending to Durham, NC, and soon to other cities in the South. So much queer + trans arts, events, and culture has been created and we are here to celebrate it.
Come out to 5 Fried Years! A History of SFQP Gallery Show, which kicks off Southern Fried Queer Pride 2019! on Wednesday, June 26th at The Bakery Atlanta from 6PM to 11PM. View artwork, flyers, videos, artifacts, and more from the first five years of SFQP’s work! This event will also feature a open mic ran by SFQP 2018 headliner’s African Space Program. This event is all ages.
All flyers designed by India Calhoun Nabarro.
Southern Fried Queer Pride is a queer and trans, arts & advocacy organization and festival based in Atlanta, GA. Built on the backbones of the Stonewall Riots, MondoHomo, queer liberation, and the radical celebration of Southern queers, SFQP offers a platform for community artists, activists, and anyone and everyone to hold space!
SFQP is a community organized and funded event. All SFQP events have a suggested $7 to $20 sliding scale door cover, however, no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. All funds raised help keep SFQP going. If you’d like to donate to SFQP, you can do so here: http://bit.ly/sfqpatl2019tix
