The Auburn Avenue Research Library in collaboration with 20th Century Fox will present “The Hate U Give: The Art of Advocacy Young Adult Art Exhibition”. Inspired by the upcoming 20th Century Fox film based on author, Angie Thomas’ award-winning Teen novel, “The Hate U Give”, the exhibit features original works created by local Atlanta teens. Addressing themes such as gang violence, racism, police brutality, the U.S. court system, and family life, the teens make use of various art mediums and styles to convey how they see these various topics through their eyes.

THE HATE U GIVE is based on the critically acclaimed New York Times bestseller by Angie Thomas, directed by George Tillman, Jr. and stars Amandla Stenberg as Starr, with Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, Issa Rae, KJ Apa, Algee Smith, Sabrina Carpenter, Common, and Anthony Mackie.
