Join SNaP Co. on Wednesday, May 30th at 6pm for the first public planning meeting of the upcoming Black Trans Atlanta (BTA) Roundtable Summit! [This event will also serve as a membership meeting for all SNaP Co.’s members and future members to engage in the work we’re currently moving in Atlanta!]

The purpose of the BTA Roundtable Summit is to create a space for Atlanta’s Black, Trans community to come together and build a shared platform that identifies the major challenges facing our community and the actions needed to transform the culture of transphobia in Atlanta’s political, social, and cultural institutions. We expect the Summit to culminate in a platform that will include policy recommendations, and strategies and solutions for addressing structural discrimination, as well as interpersonal bias and violence. The current vision is a summit where community leaders and experts are engaged in rotating round table discussions with facilitators to generate strategies and solutions in the areas of policy and culture. Summit participants will engage in loving and rigorous debates, exhibitions, films, and entertainment throughout the day. Our hope is that the Summit will take place during Black Pride Weekend, on Thursday, August 30th.

Please come out to build and vision the possibilities for this necessary Summit and for Black trans liberation in Atlanta!
