The Auburn Avenue Research Library in collaboration with MW Solutions will host Overcoming: Cultivating Black Joy as Resistance, facilitated by Licensed Psychologist Dr. Rosell Jenkins, Spelman College graduate, and founder of MW Solutions. This community lecture and book signing will discuss the often untapped emancipatory power of individual joy and well-being in the Black community’s collective resistance to systemic oppression and its residual communal trauma. This event will also include a post discussion book signing by Dr. Rosell Jenkins for her latest publication Cultivating Joy: Sheltering Within During the Storm. This event is free and open to the public.
