More MARTA – Understanding Atlanta’s Transit Future

July 18, 2018 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm America/New York Timezone
Center for Civic Innovation

In 2016 the Center for Civic Innovation hosted Your Voice Matters: Atlanta’s Decision on MARTA & the TSPOST, to ensure Atlantans could voice their hopes and concerns about the upcoming vote on transportation spending.

Our city had a big decision to make: what kind of city do we want to be and how will people get around it?

That November Atlanta voters (aka, YOU) overwhelmingly approved new funding for our cities transportation infrastructure. But approving the funding was only step one of the process. Since then, MARTA and others spent months working hard to figure out what projects will get funding and when. It was not an easy task and we are sure you have many questions!

Come hear from MARTA on how they will use their part of the funds you approved!

We will explore:

What are the rules – what could and couldn’t MARTA spend their money on and why?
Where do the MARTA project lists stand?
What are the potential of these various projects to shape the future of our city?
What questions do you – voters & residents – have?
