Us Protecting Us, a Dekalb county organization that came together after Anthony Hill was murdered by a police officer in 2015.
A group of activists camped out in front of the court house in January 2016 to demand an indictment of the police officer– and won.
After over a year of waiting, finally the trial will commence this month, starting with the pre-trial on May 21st and 22nd.
It’s time to continue the fight for Anthony, for people living with mental health and other disabilities, and for all Black lives.
Here’s how you can help:
The pre-trial for the indicted police officer is coming up on May 21st. We need to show the judge and the court that we have our eyes on them and we’re expecting a conviction. We’d like to have a court watch by having a public presence all day on Monday, May 21st and Tuesday, May 22nd.
We will be also having a press conference that morning, if you can join us – that would be great!
Towards a new world,
Us Protecting Us
