The 8th Annual Ujamaafest, one of the largest metro – Atlanta Kwanzaa festivals is slated for Saturday, December 29,2018. The highly anticipated annual event returns to Atlanta this year.
Our mission is to empower African American communities by providing programming centering around Financial Literacy & Cooperative Economics which is a principle of Kwanzaa .
Along with a rich cultural celebration which has included performances, STEM activities & Interactive Art Sessions, Ujamaafest has provided an economic platform for African American businesses by providing a marketplace, financial seminars & an opportunity to network with other business owners.
With the support of our lead community partner, the office of Councilmen At Large Andre Dickens ,we return to Atlanta’s City Hall, we see an opportunity to expand our commitment to African American business owners by hosting the Economic Heritage Small Business Pitch targeting existing small businesses that may be at risk for gentrification & displacement. We will host our 2nd pitch session during the Ujamaafest with judges from diverse economic & business backgrounds who are leaders in the community .
